SPC014 Sam Patania platinum and 18kt gold ‘Nadia’ bracelet, 2009 When Sam created this design he wrote, “I think this bracelet is why I am on this planet.” Taking inspiration from Navajo designs and William Spratling, Sam created this platinum bracelet – an arched mixture of minimalist chic modernist peaks and planes ending with more ‘rustic’ terminals ... all accented with 18kt beads. Working with this much platinum was a unique experience for Sam - forcing him to push his skills to an even greater height. ‘Platinum takes much more time to fabricate.’, Sam said, ‘You have to polish it just to polish it.’ The Huntress considers this cuff a personal secret - only the wearer knows it is platinum. It is a bracelet for pure gratification. Sam will have a very limited body of work in platinum so consider this a very rare investment. |
