A very special story accompanies this gorgeous sterling silver and coral set by Sam Patania. The “Huntress” paid a visit to Sam’s studio and the guided tour included relics from the past. There, in a drawer forgotten for years was this brilliant set incomplete…in pieces yet to be assembled. To the “Huntress” it screamed, “I want to live!!!!” So, the Huntress did what any woman worth her salt would do…she burdened the artist with her incessant nagging “You have to finish the set!!!!!”…and it worked like a charm.

The “Huntress” has worn this set and it knocks the socks off of all who have seen it. It is wild!!! The rich red branch coral (inherited from Frank Sr.’s private stash of coral acquired in the 1950’s) pops out and commands attention. Mix jealousy with admiration and you have the ‘cocktail’ that describes the response of the viewing audience.

This is a serious work of art not only in design but in the hours of labor needed to painstakingly place each element. What started over six years ago and was set aside has now come to fruition. Whether Sam makes another set like this is unknown.
