LEW001 - Vintage Esther Lewittes Modernist sterling silver bracelet, circa-1970’s, SOLD Origin: California Esther Lewittes began making modernist jewelry in the 1950’s and sold in such stores as Georg Jensen and Nanny’s in San Francisco. After moving to California, she became one of the more “colorful” personalities among the jewelers working in the Los Angeles area. Lewittes’ jewelry is steadily sought by Modernist collectors and larger pieces are hard to come by. Lewittes makes wonderful use of gently curved flat planes of sterling silver juxtaposed with a dimensional dome and applied rays. This bracelet will easily complement sterling silver minimalist modernist works such as an Art Smith sterling necklace or earrings. In perfect condition. Looks stunning on! |
