Origin:  Denmark

Henning Koppel, a seminal innovator of the modern Jensen style, studied sculpture at the Royal Academy of Arts and the Academie Ranson in Paris, and this early training shows in his wonderfully sculptural 'Amoeba.'   The ‘Amoeba’  is one of Koppel's most recognized designs for Georg Jensen, highly sought after and no longer in production.  This design is featured on the cover of Janet Drucker's definitive and lavishly illustrated 'Georg Jensen: A Tradition of Splendid Silver,' and appears again on page 154.

An exceptionally rare necklace to be worn by an exceptional woman.    Defiantly bold, it exudes tough chic.  (Perfect accessory for courthouse combat or boardroom brawls!)  Scandinavian Modernism at its finest, the ‘Amoeba’ design is visually stunning and the ultimate statement piece.  The clever closure system is a matter of slipping the small ‘T-shaped’ end into the opening of the other end link and then maneuvering it, puzzle-like, cunningly into place in the last curve.  Please see Silver Huntress’s separate listing of the equally rare ‘Amoeba’ bracelet matching this piece.   A 'must have' for the discerning collector!
