Salvador's charming Moon & Stars design blends nursery rhyme whimsy with Modernist sensibility. The cartoon moon has an air of quiet bemusement as he contemplates the lone star he's managed to snare. If you've ever wished upon a star and unexpectedly gotten what you asked for, you may feel a certain kinship with this character. The gentle humor with which Salvador treats his subject delights irresistibly. This iconic suite exhibits Salvador's fascination with overlapping planes and shadowboxes, with mellow silver forms standing quietly out from a softly darkened background. This magical ensemble enchants the beholder with its serene and powerful "presence."
