RIC001 – Erika Hult de Corral “RIC” sterling silver and stone modernist necklace, circa – 1968 to 1977, SOLD Origin: Puerto Vallarta, Mexico Erika Hult de Corral studied at the Parsons School of Design in Paris before coming to Mexico to work as an apprentice to Sigi Pineda. After leaving Sigi’s taller, she opened her own shop in Puerto Vallarta in 1968. This necklace is a superb example of Erika’s eye for modernism and her elite construction techniques – asymmetric yet balanced. She always used heavy gauge sterling silver in her pieces to give them durability and the feel of substance. Even viewed from afar, this necklace captures the watcher’s eye and keeps it up to the point of you receiving the compliment this necklace is sure to bring. |
