MP019 Vintage Matilde Poulat Matl sterling silver,
turquoise pin / brooch; circa-1950 to 1960 (eagle 129) Huge brooch tiered with pale sea green and sky blue turquoise, edged with sterling loops and set with four embellished dangles in a design reminiscent of the wooden rattle (Chicahuastli) that marked the ancient rhythm of the dance. The rattle was used as a cane by the Fire God, and was an attribute of god, warriors and priests. Accent this exotic piece with matching earrings and the spectacular bracelet which The Huntress has listed separately, MP017 and MP018, for a sumptuous, show-stopping look! |
