Matilde Poulat incorporated doves, a romantic remembrance of 1930’s Mexico and the hauntingly soulful music of Agustin Lara, a legendary balladeer of the era, into many charming pieces. This captivating pendant depicts two fluttering birds detailed in complex repousse work, facing a central turquoise cabochon of a delectable robin’s egg blue. The piece is set with an additional fifteen natural turquoise stones in colors ranging from pale sea green to sky blue, and further embellished with applied beads, wire loops and dangles. A lovely pendant of the most serene beauty.
