When Georgia O'Keefe was photographed in the southwest desert wearing Hector Aguilar's "X" belt, the design achieved instant celebrity status. Now one of Aguilar's most sought-after works, this timeless design is forever associated with O'Keefe's minimalist panache. Contrasting silver and black suede is unfussy yet eloquent, enlivening anything from faded jeans to a little black dress. (The famous photo of O'Keefe wearing the X belt appears in Morrill's "Silver Masters of Mexico," Plate III-26, page 108.
