HA033 Vintage Hector Aguilar ‘Knot’ 940 silver necklace, circa-1950’s Aguilar's intricate 'Knot' design commands all eyes to gaze and admire. Drop-dead beautiful and gratifyingly weighty, the design's complex construction required nothing short of mastery for each knot to ride precisely balanced and upright on a curb link chain. Crafted with Hector's painstaking attention to detail and intimate knowledge of silver’s properties, the ‘Knot’ design is one of his most recognized. It is featured in Morrill and Berk’s “Mexican Silver” (page 102, Plate VII-7), and again in Morrill's "Silver Masters of Mexico," Plate III-3, page 98. Wearing the Knot creates the illusion of abstract silver roses encircling the neck. Boldness combined with grace, insanely flattering to wear! |
