HA006 - Vintage Aztec Symbols panel bracelet by Hector Aguilar in gold-washed 940 silver (a higher grade than sterling), circa-1940’s, $2,895
Origin:  Taxco, Mexico
Dimensions:  6.5” L (opening -- 2.25” across wrist, 1.75” through wrist), 1.25” W, 103.1 gm
Condition: Excellent

Aguilar’s Aztec Metal Symbols bracelet is a rare find and a delight to wear:  bold, heavy and comfortably shaped for your wrist with pin closure and offset hinge.  Plate I-25 in Penny Morrill’s ‘Silver Masters of Mexico’ depicts a similar bracelet.   This particular piece carries a softly glowing gold wash laid over Aguilar’s trademark 940 silver.  Usually done at the request of the purchaser, gold washed pieces are beautiful, unusual, and highly collectible.    An absolutely ravishing ‘statement’ piece!
