Stripped-down stunning 'Shields' design, impeccably made set signed for Fred Davis. The balance and purity of this 1930's design draws the eye irresistibly to the wearer as light and shadow play over its simple, sculptural forms. Conceived by Valentin Vidaurreta and produced by both Davis and Hector Aguilar, ‘Shields’ is featured on page 26, Plate II-7 of Morrill and Berk’s “Mexican Silver” (and, done by Vidaurreta as 'Peaked Squares' in Morrill's "Silver Masters of Mexico," the design appears as Plate II-14, page 80). Remarkable and rare to find both the necklace and bracelet together! A deceptively understated design, you'll find it totally sensational to wear.
