Taxco / Mexican Vintage Jewelry

EL004 Enrique Ledesma sterling silver and amethyst quartz bracelet, circa-1950’s, $1,295
Origin: Taxco, Mexico
Dimensions: 6.75”L, 1”W; stones .5”T, .5”W; 64.5 gm
Condition: Excellent (minor wear/age-related marks to stones)

Enrique Ledesma was noted for his masterful blending stone with silver, and this bold geometric bracelet exemplifies his genius. Mottled, richly-colored carved and polished bold hunks of amethyst quartz join seamlessly with heavily patinated sterling silver caps in sculptural harmony. When worn, the effect is captivating as the light plays off polished stone, old silver and glimpses of the wrist underneath.
