Six luscious amethyst cabochons encircle the wrist, bezel-set in old silver. Antonio’s creation makes an unforgettable statement with the stones’ eye-popping size and rich light-catching hues changing from deep blue violet to hot pink tinged with Easter egg purple. What might otherwise be deemed pure eye candy is leavened by the stones’ simple, clean, assertive settings and a massive clasp neatly punctuated by the round push knob. This is adornment fit for a Medici, a commanding and masterfully conceived piece for a woman of power and confidence.
